| In this lesson we're going to take a trip to the post office. The post office is called Oficina de Correos. |

| In this lesson, we're going to work on getting your postcards, letters, and packages home. The expression we need to learn is this: "I want to send this to..." and then the desired destination. For this lesson, we'll use the United States. In Spanish “I want to send this to the United States" is: |
| Quiero enviar esto a Estados Unidos. |
| Let’s break it down: |
| (slow) Qui-e-ro en-vi-ar es-to a Es-ta-dos U-ni-dos. |
| Once more: |
| Quiero enviar esto a Estados Unidos. |
| The first word, quiero, is translated as “I want” |
| (slow) qui-e-ro |
| quiero |
| Next we have enviar, which in English will be “to send”. |
| (slow) en-vi-ar |
| enviar |
| Then we have esto, which means “this”. |
| Next we have a, which literally means “to” |
| And at the end, we have the name of the country, in our case Estados Unidos. |
| (slow) Es-ta-dos U-ni-dos. |
| Estados Unidos. |
| All together, we have |
| Quiero enviar esto a Estados Unidos. |
| Literally, this means “I want to send this to the United States” |
| Let's look at the other words. We were talking about packages, letters, and postcards, so let’s try to send a postcard! |
| “Postcard” in Mexico is called Postal. |

| Postal. |
| “I want to send this postcard to the United States” in Spanish is |
| Quiero enviar esta postal a Estados Unidos. |
| Let’s break it down: |
| (slow) Qui-e-ro en-vi-ar es-ta pos-tal a Es-ta-dos U-ni-dos. |
| Once more: |
| Quiero enviar esta postal a Estados Unidos. |
| We just replace esto, or “this”, with esta postal, which means “this postcard” |
| (slow) Es-ta pos-tal. |

| Now let’s try with “letter”, which in Spanish is carta |

| “This letter” is: |

| By substituting this into the first sentence, we can get: |
| “I want to send this letter to the United States” or |

| Let’s hear the whole phrase one more time: |

| Now let’s try to send a package. In Spanish, “I want to send this package to the United States” is: |

| “Package” in Spanish is paquete |

| Since it is a masculine noun, we use este with paquete. |
