Hola Alex,

"pizarra" is the general word and you can assume it is a black board, since it was the first made.

But be careful 'cause this days "pizarra" can mean either black or whiteboard.

So if a Spanish speaker says "pizzara" to me am I to assume it is a black or whiteboard?
