Hey, guys! My name is Rosa Martin, and this is Spanish Top Words. And today weโ€™ll be doing Top 10 Compliments You Always Want to Hear.
1. Eres guapo. "You are handsome."
If youโ€™re telling this to a girl, you would say, eres guapa. So be careful about that.
2. ยกGran trabajo! "Great job!"
This is the kind of compliment you always want to hear from your boss, I guess.
3. Tu currรญculum es impresionante. "Your rรฉsumรฉ is impressive."

4. Me haces querer ser una mejor persona. "You make me want to be a better person."
Thatโ€™s the type of people you want to be with.
5. Esa chaqueta te queda bien. "That jacket looks good on you."
So what do you guys think of my t-shirt, do you like it?
6. Eres inteligente. "You're smart."
Yeah, it feels very good to hear that, especially from your teachers.
7. Eres un amigo genial. "You're an awesome friend."
I think an awesome friend is someone thatโ€™s there always for you, for both the good and bad times, especially the bad times.
8. Tu sonrisa es preciosa. "Your smile is beautiful."
9. Me encanta como cocinas. "I love your cooking."
Iโ€™m not that good at cooking, to be honest.

Hola Mike,

Thank you for your message.

Learning a language may seems difficult at first, but as you progress you'll get more and more used to the structures used and your listening skills will also improve with time. Practice makes perfect

Does anyone else find Spanish an extra hard language to learn? I'm always told the two easiest languages to learn are English and Spanish but I can't agree with this. I subscribe to spanish 101, french 101 and german 101 and have about 5 days total study on each. I can now watch french and german films and understand about 50% without relying on the subtitles but can't understand a thing when I watch spanish films. I'm able to look at most objects and immediately recall it's name in german and french but can't remember the name of anything in spanish. I like spanish but I think I may be better to give up and just focus on the other two.
