What happened to Beginner Lessons S1?

Postby philburk » August 24th, 2010 6:02 am

I have been enjoying the Beginner S1 podcasts. I wanted to review the associated written material but can only find lessons #39-40. What happened to #1-38?

(I have to say that I find the navigation for this site extremely confusing. It is really hard to find a lesson and work through them in series. I am a web programmer and not a web newbie. So I should be able to figure this out. I think a simple hierarchy of links with bookmarks would be helpful.)

Hi Phil,
Thank you for your inquiry. We just finished doing some major re-organization of our seasons. Here are the links to the various Beginner Seasons on SpanishPod101.com:

Beginner Season 1:
http://www.spanishpod101.com/category/beginner-lessons/
Beginner Season 2:
http://www.spanishpod101.com/category/beginner-lessons-s2/
Beginner Season 3:
http://www.spanishpod101.com/category/beginner-lessons-s3/
Beginner Season 4:
http://www.spanishpod101.com/category/beginner-lessons-s4/
Beginner Season 5:
http://www.spanishpod101.com/category/beginner-lessons-s5/

The easiest way to navigate to the different seasons, is by using the "By Type" filter under the "Advanced Search" area (see screenshot below):

We are in the process of planning a major redesign of SpanishPod101.com later this year. The new design will vastly improve navigation of SpanishPod101.com

Thank you,

found the missing links

Ahah! I figured out the problem.
If you click on Learning Center from the Home Page there is a menu for "Select Category".
If you select "Beginner Lesson S1" then only 2 classes show up under the lessons menu, #39 and #40!
But if you select "Beginner Lesson" then lessons #1-#38 show up.

A quick fix would be to combine those two categories under "Beginner Lesson S1" and show lessons #1-40.

I look forward to that. The podcasts are great and the content is good. But the site navigation and layout needs serious work.

It would also be nice to see the content organized in order of difficulty. I don't care what SEASON you created the content. I just want to progress in an orderly way through the material, building upon what I learned in the previous lesson.

Good idea! We combined lessons #1-40 under a single category (Beginner Lesson). Thanks for clarifying the issue.
