Lesson translations fundamentally flawed.

Postby Jhansensd_72638 » March 1st, 2015 11:33 pm

Hello, I love concept of this website other than a few fundamental mistakes made by the creators. First of all, when having translation in line by line conversations, you need to have an option to show the English below every phrase. How come there is no way to this for each phrase? Come on people this is equivalent to subtitles when watching a movie in Spanish. And having all the Spanish in one and all the English below it does not count and is too hard to move your eyes down to look at. The English translation needs to be right below.

Also, there are too many lessons. Everything should be rolled more into one so it's more structured.

Hi Jhansensd,

Thank you for your feedback. We'll consider it.
We created this style, giving more importance to the target language and thinking that the English translation is only a means to rely on now and then.

Thank you again,
Ofelia

I like the current format. It may take more time but you see more Spanish at once. Having the English right below may cause you to look at the English translation too much or accidentally.

I LOVE the format. The way the lessons are organized is fantastic. Having English translations underneath every line would absolutely destroy the flow of learning Spanish. You can't learn a new language by approaching it as an "encoded" version of your own language, and the less you rely on instant translations the better! And, they are NOT organized as "too many" lessons. The way it's broken up is perfect. Those of us who don't have a solid hour to sit down and study every day REALLY appreciate these very short, easily digestible lessons. Don't change anything!!
