I like to keep the language in my ears when I can... anyone have favorite albums that have Spanish-language lyrics? Pop, punk, folk, whatever.

I ran across the site Jamendo, which has a collection of Creative-Commons music. Here's their collection of music tagged "Spanish": http://www.jamendo.com/en/tag/spanish

I thought I would share with you some examples of Peruvian Music. I hope to lengthen this list, since Peruvian music covers a wide spectrum, and it would be a mistake to think that any of these songs on their own are completely representative of it as a whole. Anyway, I tried to show a few different genres.

Also, here is an example of the famous northern Peruvian dance "la marinera": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYGOU9Xo ... re=related. This dance is "un cortejo" (a courting) between the man and the woman. Notice how they don't touch each other, no matter how close they get!
