<<No sé>> and <<No lo sé>>

Postby elizabethr » August 14th, 2009 1:34 am

Hi everyone,

I am trying to clarify some little things in Spanish that I've been confused about but have overlooked. Do most Spanish speakers have specific instances in which they would use either No lo sé or No sé? I've read some (simple!) Spanish books and watched English-language shows with Spanish subtitles to try to figure out the difference in usage, but I haven't been successful.

For example, if one were asked ¿Sabe los hechos? , is it okay to respond with No lo sé, even though "los hechos" is plural?

Gracias.
